About the Washington State FOP

We, the law enforcement officers of Washington State, as representatives and delegates of our state and subordinate lodges, do hereby associate the lodges we represent and the members thereof for the following purposes:

To support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of Washington and instill loyalty and allegiance to both entities; to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order; to improve the individual and collective expertise of our members in the performance of their duties; to instill a feeling of pride, fellowship, and common loyalty and encourage fraternal, educational, charitable, and social activities among membership; to support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the law enforcement profession through every legal and ethical means available, including the development of mental health support programs, particularly by the use of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and the training of peer support members; to increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession and establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property.

It is the vision of the WAFOP that we would uphold all facets of our mission with honor and integrity.

The Washington State FOP Brandmark

WAFOP logo
Like the thin blue line representing both law enforcement’s role in separating order from chaos and also the bond connecting all of law enforcement the line in our logo represents the fraternalism of the officers from across our great state. WAFOP membership runs from our state’s beautiful western coast to the rolling hills of the Palouse; from the rugged national border of the North Cascades to the rolling Columbia River to the south. We represent those experiencing their first day on patrol to those signing off to retirement; the thin blue line always carries on.

Proudly centered in the middle of the new image is the National FOP motto, Jus-FIDUS-Libertatum (Justice, Friendship, Equality) and the FOP star which represents the values of the FOP including our national flag, the eye of vigilance, the bond of friendship and the never-ending efforts to promote welfare and advancement of the order.

Use of the Fraternal Order of Police or the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police logo is prohibited. To obtain permission for logo use please contact info@wafop.com.
