Brother Roske
Posted On: Nov 28, 2017

Brothers and Sisters,

It is with distinct honor I have the priviledge to advise that the Washington State FOP Immediate Past President, Brother Ken Roske, of the Pasco Police Department was promoted this morning at 0900 to the rank of Deputy Chief.

Brother Roske has had a stellar 30-year career with PPD having worked his way up through the ranks as a Patrol Officer, K-9 Officer, Corporal, Sergeant and the last 13 years as a Captain. His contributions to his community, his agency and the Fraternal Order of Police have not gone unnoticed. Most recently in particular Pasco PD has undergone national scrutiny over the last several years as a result of officer involved shootings and Brother Roske’s leadership and commitment to fair and honest investigations in these instances have been outstanding. His personal and professional integrity during these trying times have made him a perfect choice for his agency as the Deputy Chief.

Brother Roske has served as the State Vice President for 6 years, State President for 12 years and numerous State Lodge committees. In addition, for those of you attending the National Memorial Service in May, you certainly recognize Brother Roske as a senior 15-year member of the National Memorial Committee assisting the families of those who officers who made the supreme sacrifice. Brother Roske is also coordinator the prestigious Steve Young Honor Guard Competition held in conjunction with the NMS.

Please help me in congratulating Deputy Chief Ken Roske on a terrific career and an outstanding opportunity to continue to serve his community and profession at a higher level of responsibility.

Jack Simington
